This is a pictoral tribute to
Boo the Wonder Dog
who should have died at least 3 times, but beat all the odds stacked against him
and continues to bring absolute joy & comic relief to our lives.

Boo in his bed with his favourite toy
What is truly amazing about Boo is his absolute trust.  Considering the fact that he when he first came to us he was cowardly & froze whenever we reached out to touch him, he quickly grew past that.  He's a lover with that exhuberant  puppy-zest for life !
Boo adapts quickly to his disabilities.  He has learned to run in the dark, depending on his senses of smell & hearing (and voice commands from a seeing-eye guide...either human or canine).  Here he is with his best buddy, Weiner, taking a romp and following the sound of the bell at Weiner's neck.  Weiner seems to sense his handicap & takes the lead, choosing paths that Boo can negotiate.  If he gets confused, Weiner barks directions & encouragement!
Boys day out
Boo negotiating the stairs
At 10 months old now, Boo courageously tackles any obstacle head on.  He goes around or over anything in his path.  He has that one-track mind-set concentration  of his hound breeding.
Blind Boo - Walker hound pup with squeaky toy
With his favorite squeaky toys, Boo amuses himself in the kennel.  He'll toss his toy in the air & listen intently to where it lands then spring after it.  Although he has that "ripper-face" hound nature to chew almost any inanimate object, he has never destroyed his toys. playtime in the kennel
He prefers to carry them around like a soother and can often be located,  quickly & easily,  simply by the squeaky sound.  When asked if I found the noise annoying, I replied "actually I don't notice it unless it stops, then I know he's probably getting into something he shouldn't !"
Boo wading in the lake
Boo - Walker hound pup having fun on the beach
Boo loves to go wading.  He quickly came to know that water means no obstacles like trees to watch out for. When he's in the water, he can run & jump like a deer without fear of collisions. It's pure happiness to feel the water splashing & the wind flopping through his ears.
After a day of sun & fun,  it's time to recharge the batteries.  Like any young pup, Boo enjoys a crash nap on the couch...
althought how he can be comfortable in some of these contorted positions defies nature.
