Teddybear is my full name.
I'm a female mix-breed beagle (never knew
my dad). I hitched a ride with Charlie one day while he was still
driving a garbage truck way back in the early spring of 1996. I
was
only a pup about 5 months old, hungry & alone, scrounging for
scraps
in the garbage dump. Charlie was a pretty soft touch for my big doe eyes, but there was no room in the house for anymore dogs (they were already sheltering 11 strays !!) But I'm a pretty lucky dog, 'cause since there was no room at the local animal shelter either, I got to stay with Charlie until they could find me another home... and in the meantime, the old family dog went quietly in her sleep ...leaving an opening for me. I behaved well, minding my manners & gradually working my way up the ladder to guard dog & mouser. I earn my keep now travelling with Lynda & Charlie to all the exhibitions. I guard the camper-bus that we travel in. I may look soft & cuddly... but my nickname is "chainsaw"! |
